"You're A Good Man Charlie Brown" closed tonight. 

You may notice that Snoopy's nose is all smeared off.  That is because he smeared it all over ME while he presented me with those flowers.  And I got a bit weepy.

I have known Squirrel for about 6 years.  I have worked on 5 shows with him.  I ADORE his family and I have marveled at his growth as a performer.  Sometimes I have been very disappointed in him and other times I have been bemusedly surprised.

He is his own personal rollercoaster.

He knows that.

And tonight was his last performance on our stage.  He is a senior.  He is moving on.  

sigh

I am gonna miss that loveable scamp, but I have a sneaking suspicion that this is not the last time we work together.  In fact I have a few ideas......

Anyway, I would be remiss if I ended this post without giving tribute to the person who brought me back into this fold...and continues to inspire me to become a teacher: 

D-Gang, you are two kinds of ice cream (or Fro Yo if you prefer), 

morning and evening (whew - we have had a LOT of those!) 

AND singing together when day is through.

Especially when that singing takes place around a table of snacks
With your 5,000 kids and your 3,000 dogs.

In the book of life, the answers aren't in the back.
