Wow Factor.

I can clearly mark this day with  one word......

WOW.

Wow can be good and Wow can be bad.  It doesn't really matter.  Suffice it to say that it is an exclamation of  wonder.

It is an interjection.
It shows excitement or emotion.

It is generally set apart from a a sentence by an exclamation point (or by a comma when the feeling it not as strong.)

 hee hee
If you remember this you will laugh,
If you don't, no biggie.

Anyway......the  word "Wow" entered my mind several times today.

Wow is a triumph and a tragedy.   It is sarcasm and sincerity.

Wow makes us want to quit and Wow inspires us to try for more.

Sometimes Wow just knocks us on our ass and leads us to the Abyss.

On the other hand, Wow upside down spells Mom.  That's pretty cool.

sigh

(Yes....here is the video that reminds you about interjections.)

  1. Thanks for that. You learn something every day. As for the exclamation mark after the interjection, in my education we were taught to avoid exclamation marks. The writing needs to carry the meaning with them, but otherwise, I'm so pleased now to know these things.
