Who Do I Have To Hug To Find A Kite In The Winter?

hee hee....

Only I didn't say hug.  I said a different verb.
And it made D-Gang chortle.

I got enough done over the weekend for Grad School that I could spend the day running around and procuring a few items for the musical.  Today I went to Nobbies (its like a party store), Hobby Lobby (self explanatory), Target, Kohls, K-Mart, TJ Max, Burlington Coat Factory, Marshalls, Payless Shoes, Toys-R-Us and finally the new Fancy Pants Goodwill.

I had many successes but one utter failure:  Find a kite.
Actually, I just need the Kite rigging.
D-Gang already built a kite.

My other failure was to find Awesome Yellow Shoes being that the Converse Hightops that I ordered for Woodstock are now backordered.  Grrrrr......  I have a whole "thing" going on for Woodstock.  Woodstock is my signature on this show.  (And the actress portraying Woodstock happens to be one of my favorite people at Awesome School.)

So there I was at Goodwill...my last stop of the day......totally deflated..... and I found these:

OK - this is a GOODWILL SCORE OF EPIC PROPORTION.
(I am sure that Moon would agree)

But can I make them yellow?

Why, yes.  Yes I can.

Going to Lowes tomorrow to make a kite rig out of an extension cord plastic thingie. After my New Media Literacies class.  In which I have an A.

I leave you with one of my favorite Woodstock and Snoopy Videos.

I may have to work up this dance with D-Gang.

Interestingly, I am not sure which one of us is Snoopy and which one of us is Woodstock.  Seriously.

  1. I have never flown a kite in the winter but I bet it would be fun! I think kites should be sold all year long.

  2. Yes. I do love it when Goodwill, not unlike the Universe, hands us what we need if only we have the eyes to see it.

  3. I am too crabby for snoopy and too loud for woodstock. So this is a tough one.

Ms. Moon your metaphor between Goodwill and the Universe is lovely and I am tucking it away for future use and good advice.
